NOS 1978 Motobecane Moby 7 Moped Engine. It has never been started or had fuel of any type enter the carb. This engine was shipped from the factory attached to a new Moby 7 in 1978. The dealer at the time removed the 12v flywheel magneto assembly to use on a repair he was doing for a customer and never replaced it on this engine, so this new Moby 7 sat since that time in a shop collecting dust and light corrosion on the clutch chrome plating as seen in the pictures. This engine is complete and ready to install and run in your moped restoration project. This assembly includes all the Moby 7 engine brackets, carburetor, intake, air box, exhaust system, Dimoby clutch and also the throttle and choke cables. The only thing you will need to install is a 12v or 6v Motobecane flywheel magneto. Though the engine should start up and run just as it is, we advise cleaning the carb out with compressed air prior to using just to make sure no dirt or dust settle inside where it could disrupt air flow.
